Climate
We have two seasons, the temperate dry season (April to December) and the tropical summer (January to March), providing the perfect year round destination, where the region is spectacular no matter what time of the year you come to visit.
Where are we?
Cape Hillsborough Nature Resort is in the heart of the Cape Hillsborough National Park which is situated 47km north of Mackay, 750km south of Cairns and 1000km north of Brisbane, Australia.
The nearest airport is Mackay (check QANTAS or Virgin Blue or Jet Star for flight details) and with no scheduled bus services to the resort you would need to rent a car.
When driving to the resort there are three entry points from the Bruce Highway.
Traveling from the North
There are two options when travelling from the north: •The first turnoff (turn left) is at Mount Ossa. The sign indicates Seaforth. This road has 7km of unsealed road which is graded regularly and generally suitable for caravans.
The next turnoff (turn left) is at Kuttabul. The sign indicates Seaforth. This road is sealed and is suitable for all traffic.
Traveling from the south
Travel through Mackay on the Bruce Highway and turn right at Yakapiri (The Leap). The sign indicates Cape Hillsborough National Park and Seaforth. The road is sealed all the way to the resort. Bushwalking, fishing, and easy access to the reef all in one spot.
