Beachcombing

The park is located on a narrow strip of land between Cape Hillsborough and Andrews Point, and fronts onto Casuarina Bay. The stretch of sand from Andrews Point to Indian Head at Cape Hillsborough provides endless beachcombing opportunities. There are numerous caves, rock pools, geological structures and expanses of open beach to explore.

The beautiful rock formations along the coastline are evidence of volcanic activity which occurred millions of years ago. These exquisite silhouettes boarder both ends of Cape Hillsborough Beach providing a secluded bay. As you spend your time beachcombing you might come across busy sand bubbler crabs creating intricate patterns in the sand or perhaps, you’ll discover some of the sea creatures that inhabit the rock pools.  

If beachcombing isn’t your style, at low tide the beach is firm providing the ideal setting for a game of soccer, cricket or a leisurely stroll. The beach provides endless opportunities for discoveries and adventures for the young and the young at heart.
